A unique artwork created from torn-up fragments of different paintings and drawings I have done previously, using acrylic, watercolour, oil pastel, and ink.

The segments of the Ammonite are outlined with metallic gold glass paint; a sprinkle of glitter and a shower of little gems really
makes it sparkle!

The design is sealed with a water-based transparent glue, which keeps everything in place and adds a pleasing textured effect to the background.

This is an unframed piece on 300 gsm black card, signed on the front and labelled on the back. If you intend to frame it, please make sure to use a frame deep enough to allow for the 3D elements of the work!

Lapis Lazuli has been treasured since antiquity for its exquisite blue colour, offset with the golden sheen of pyrite. It was the original source of the pigment ultramarine. Here I have combined rich shades of blue with gold to echo the character of this striking gemstone.

Height: 20 cm
Width: 25 cm
