The collage was created from torn-up fragments of different paintings and drawings I have done previously, using acrylic, watercolour, oil pastel, charcoal and ink.
The background is painted black; acrylic paint applied with a palette knife adds interest and extra texture. The design is embellished with a splash of glitter and some little gems, then sealed it with a water-based transparent glue to keep everything in place.
This unique artwork is on 300 gsm black card, mounted on stretched canvas on a sturdy wooden frame. The back is finished with D-rings and a cord so it’s ready to hang on the wall; alternatively it would look great displayed on a surface on a little easel – or just casually propped on a shelf.
Delivery within the UK is included in the price.
ammonite - peridot
Lime and chartreuse through to olive and pistachio reflect the glowing shades of green of the peridot gemstone.
Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August, and is also known as the Evening Emerald, as its brilliant yellow-green colour intensifies and darkens under artificial light.
Traditionally believed to drive away fears and nightmares, it is also associated with a 16th anniversary.
