It was created from lots of tiny fragments of different painted and drawn textures, in acrylic, watercolour, oil pastel, charcoal and ink. The background is painted black; I used heavy-body acrylic applied with a palette knife to add interest and extra texture.
Once the design was positioned I embellished it with a splash of glitter and some little gems, then sealed it with a water-based transparent glue to keep everything firmly in place.
This unique artwork is on stretched canvas on a sturdy wooden frame, is signed on the front, labelled on the back, and comes with some guidelines on how you can care for it to keep it looking beautiful for many years.
It doesn’t need framing – the back is finished with D-rings and a cord so it’s ready to hang on the wall; alternatively it would look great displayed on a surface on a little easel – or just casually propped on a shelf.
