Inspired by my favourite exhibit in Shaftesbury's Gold Hill Museum: a dried cat discovered in the thatch of a cottage in the village of Marnhull - apparently placed there to deter vermin. I can't guarantee that my painting will be similarly efficacious, but it's possibly more decorative! This work was chosen by the Museum Trustees as their favourite work on display at the Portrait of Shaftesbury exhibition in 2019.
The collage is on black paper in a pewter-effect wooden frame, ready to hang. Overall size 41 x 23 cm approx.
