If you’ve heard my musical talk, Late-Flowering Lyricist, you’ll know the story of how I met the comedian and folk singer Richard Digance and how instrumental (haha!) he was in helping me develop my songwriting and performing journey.
During his 58-year career, Richard has released 45 albums, written 24 books and regularly opens the Sunday afternoon slot at Cropredy Folk Festival. On Wednesday 30th July at 7pm, he’ll be giving a talk to Sherborne Literary Society about his latest book, How I Met Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and more generally about writing and the creative process.
It’s a rare opportunity to encounter Richard in a different milieu from usual, and tickets are available online here or at Winstone’s Books in Cheap Street, Sherborne.
