I was thrilled to be selected to stage a solo show in the beautiful surroundings of the Rotunda Gallery in Lyme Regis Museum:

Bright & Bold: Celebrating the Dorset Landscape

is a collection of semi-abstract landscape paintings in acrylic, playing freely with colour, curve, and contour line. Recognisable without being realistic, they give the viewer a quirky perspective on familiar landscape features, while bright and bold colour palettes create a spirit of light-hearted optimism.

They belong to my series of Dazzle Paintings, so called because the effect has been compared to the ‘dazzle camouflage’ developed by artist Norman Wilkinson during the First World War, where complex patterns of geometric shapes in contrasting colours interrupt and intersect each other.
